Manthokha is a roughly 40–60 metre waterfall set in a narrow gorge that stays green all summer, which makes it stand out in a region better known for rock and glacier. It is one of the few easily accessible waterfalls in upper Baltistan, and the setting has been turned into a simple picnic park rather than a wilderness — there are picnic tables, a basic toilet, and a chai stall that opens in season.
It is very much a half-day stop rather than a destination in itself. Most visitors fold it into a wider trip toward Khaplu (which lies further east), or use it as a break on the way to or from Hushe Valley, the road-head for treks toward Laila Peak and Masherbrum. The mist off the falls keeps the air cool even at the height of summer.
| From Skardu | Around 80km, roughly 2 hours by road (confirm locally). |
| From Khaplu | On the same Skardu–Khaplu road, an easy add-on if you are already in the area. |
| Entry | Around Rs.100 per person — confirm current rate. |
| Facilities | Picnic tables, basic toilet, seasonal chai stall. |
| Combine with | Khaplu Palace and onward Hushe Valley trek access. |
