PIA operates the Islamabad–Gilgit route with ATR 42 turboprops (about 50–60 minutes, Rs.5,000–12,000; confirm current operator and fares). These flights fly under Visual Flight Rules and cancel frequently in cloud or wind — always build a buffer day into your itinerary.
