Timing makes or breaks a GB trip. Here's how the 2026 season breaks down.
- April-May: spring. Hunza's cherry blossom (late March to mid-April) gives way to green valleys. Deosai and the high passes are still under snow.
- June-August: peak season. Everything open, the high passes through, warm days. Busiest and best for the full circuit.
- September-October: autumn. Thinning crowds and Hunza's famous gold-and-crimson foliage (peak around mid-October). Deosai and Babusar may close late in the window.
- November-March: winter. Cold and quiet, Khunjerab closed, access mostly by the weather-dependent flights. A trip for snow and frozen lakes, not the circuit.
