This is the live-season snapshot for Gilgit-Baltistan's main roads and passes. Conditions change with weather, so always check before you travel.
As of 28 June 2026: Babusar Pass is open, the Deosai jeep track is open, Khunjerab Pass is through to the border, and the Karakoram Highway is clear with localised landslide risk after rain.
Pass by pass
- Karakoram Highway (KKH): open year-round. Brief blockages happen after heavy monsoon rain (July-August); clearance is usually same-day.

- Khunjerab Pass (4,693m): the China border. Open roughly May to November; currently through.
- Deosai Plateau: the jeep track from Skardu/Astore is seasonal, roughly late June to September; now passable.
- Skardu & Astore roads: open year-round.
